To deliver the helicopters MI-8 from Anadyr Port to the several destination points – Vladivostok, Artyom, Engels

Distinctive Features of the Cargo

The dimensions of a MI-8 helicopter exceed permissible dimensions to move them out of the port and freely transport them throughout Russian Federation.

Project Implementation

Since the helicopters did not have standard attachment points we had to prepare the loading schemes beforehand, and according to those we placed the cargo onboard. After the cargo had arrived to the Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port our further task was to split it and move out of the port. But we faced a problem since the helicopters’ dimensions exceed the permissible dimensions for the intra-city transportation; moreover, the height and the width of the both port gates were too narrow to transport the helicopters through them.
After discussing this matter with our client we got their approval to remove the chassis and the fuel tanks from the helicopters. We recruited experienced specialists to do this job and only after the dismantling had been finished we proceeded with further transportation. We used low-bed trucks to deliver the helicopters to both destination points. It took only 10 days to deliver the cargo to Engels city in Saratov Region so the client could fulfill their contract obligations.
